SeatSmart is a seating chart planner that runs entirely in your web browser. This is the local, offline copy of our privacy policy, bundled with the app so it is always available even without an internet connection. The canonical, always-up-to-date version of this policy is published at yossoft.com/seating.

Your data stays on your device

Every event, table, guest, dietary note and seating rule you create is stored only in your browser's localStorage. SeatSmart has no backend server, no account system, and never transmits your guest list, dietary information, or seating arrangements anywhere. Clearing your browser's site data for SeatSmart will permanently delete this information from your device.

No tracking, no analytics, no ads

SeatSmart does not use cookies, analytics scripts, advertising networks, or any third-party trackers of any kind.

Backups

You can export a JSON backup of your data at any time using the "Export backup" button. That file is saved directly to your device by your browser; SeatSmart itself never uploads it anywhere. You are responsible for storing and sharing backup files safely, since they may contain guest names and dietary/medical information.

Offline use & installable app

SeatSmart can be installed as a Progressive Web App and works fully offline after the first visit. Installing it does not change any of the above: all data remains local to the device it is installed on.

Pro upgrade (coming soon)

A future one-time paid "Pro" tier is planned. No payment processing code is included in the app today, and no payment information is collected until that feature ships with its own, clearly disclosed terms.
